USB - Arduino - GRBL Set Up

Postby Kbs86 » Tue Jan 19, 2016 12:20 pm

So, I've assembled the 7x12 kit. All the mechanical pieces look good. Wires are connected as per the Wiki.
Now, the nightmare begins:

I'm running a big Windows 7 Desktop. No problems.
I intalled Arduino and Grbl programs as per the wiki. No problems.
I've created a simple part on Solid Works. No problems.
I've opened that file in Desk Proto & created tool paths. No problems
I've exported all that into an .ncp file. No problems

Now....I am completely lost. How the heck do you get an NC file into the Arduino / grbl set up?

Any help here would be great, as I am currently a new CNC-er in the seventh circle of hell trying to figure this stuff out.

Hey there,
Have you installed "Universal Gcode Sender" yet?
That is one of the softwares you can use to communicate from your computer to the machine. It gives you functionality like jogging the machine manually, executing gcode, etc.
This software is where you would send that NC file to your machine.
