drill holes misaligned

Postby remyalmeida » Thu Apr 21, 2016 4:04 am

Hi All,

I have zen 7x12 arduino cnc upgraded to grbl v0.9j. I use this only for PCB jobs. Drill holes are not at the center of the copper trace and drill holes are also miss aligned.
Can someone share me their grbl settings for 7x12 zentool CNC

the trace looks like it missing steps... but more that that, I can't say, I use a PC with linuxCNC for my controller...

What stepper drivers are you using?

Thanks,

Haven't played with that one, but it's probably ok...

have you tried carving some test patterns (circles, squares, spirals, etc)? Might help with locking down whether on not you're missing steps...

Have you done other pieces that have come out fine? Is this an isolated case, or does your machine do this on every job?

Has something changed, or are you just getting setup? If you're just getting started, you can expect a lot of growing pains until you get everything setup correctly...

Thanks,
jason

Hi,

I swapped the driver board of X axis with Y axis and this time the results are much better but still there are some misalignment.
