Fried my breakout board :(

Postby bkhalerman » Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:31 am

I just got everything working except for the limit switches and I ran a simple drawing last night. Then I was messing with the breakout board trying to figure out how to wire the limit switches... I am such a noob at all this and I could not tell what was what so I left the db 25 plugged into the board and unplugged it from the machine. I did a continuity test to try and find out what pins matched up to the terminals on the board... I think I ruined the board, because now with everything still connected, I can freely move the steppers by hand... What do you guys think?

Update, I did NOT fry my breakout board... I just didn't know what I was doing :) It is resolved. I was shorting the power supply out.
